No More Delays: Senate Democrats Must Act To Pass The Build Back Better Act

In response to reports that Senate is considering delaying the the Build Back Better Act, Evergreen Action Executive Director Jamal Raad released the following statement:

“American families are facing the impacts of the climate crisis every day, while Congress continues to delay action. It’s inexcusable for U.S. Senators to block action on the biggest clean energy bill in American history. While Americans are losing their homes and loved ones to the climate crisis, it’s not too much to ask Congress to address both climate change and voting rights at once.

“When House Democrats voted to pass the bipartisan infrastructure bill, they did so with an agreement that the Senate would move quickly to advance the Build Back Better Act. President Biden and Majority Leader Schumer must keep their promise. Congressional leadership should take action to vote on the Build Back Better Act before Christmas.”
