Evan Weber is a member of the Evergreen Advisory Board and co-founder and political director of the Sunrise Movement. Prior to helping launch the Sunrise Movement, Evan co-founded and served as the executive director of US Climate Plan — a think tank and youth advocacy organization — and had previous experience in the utility industry, green building, environmental law, community organizing, social movements, and electoral campaigning. In 2019, Evan made the Forbes 30 Under 30 list for the Law & Policy category for his contributions to the national climate policy discourse via the advancement of the Green New Deal. In 2017, he was named as one of the #Grist50, Grist Magazine’s annual list of 50 emerging US green leaders to watch, and in 2016 he was named as one of 85 global “Emerging Catalysts” for social change by the social movement organization Rhize.
