Tony Sirna is the Deputy Policy Director, Buildings at Evergreen. Tony leads various state and national building decarbonization coalition efforts, including campaigns related to Zero Emission Heating Equipment Standards, Clean Heat Standards, Future of Gas, and Heat Pump Rates. Prior to Evergreen, Tony worked with Citizens’ Climate Lobby as their Vice President of Organizational Strategy. At CCL, Tony organized a building decarbonization campaign from the ground up and oversaw strategic leadership to empower everyday people to lobby their elected officials and advocate for climate solutions. Earlier in his career, Tony focused on hands-on sustainability education and demonstration—building natural and green buildings, installing a community solar microgrid, and managing an alternative fuel vehicle co-op. He holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science from Stanford University, and in his free time, you can now find him biking the streets and hills of Berkeley, CA.
