Take Action: Turn Up the Heat on Conservative Democrats
A cell phone with Twitter on the screen

Late Friday night, the House passed the bipartisan infrastructure bill. On its own, this bill fails on climate. Full stop.

To fulfill Biden’s climate commitments and put ourselves on a path to avoid the worst of the climate crisis, we need to pass the Build Back Better Act.

A number of conservative Democrats have promised or suggested that they’ll vote for the Build Back Better Act when it hits the floor next week. That means we have less than a week to make sure they keep their word.

Today, we’re launching a Twitter campaign to turn up the heat on these conservative Democrats. We have pre-written tweets ready for you—will you click each button below to tweet at these Democratic holdouts to demand they step up and pass the Build Back Better Act?

Don’t have Twitter? No worries! Call your reps and let them know you’re counting on their support for the Build Back Better Act. We’ve written a script for you and grabbed your reps’ numbers, so it couldn’t be quicker, easier, or more meaningful. Thanks for doing what you can do to help today!

Rep. Case U.S. Representative for Hawaii’s 1st congressional district

Rep. Jared Golden U.S. Representative for Maine’s 2nd congressional district

Rep Josh Gottheimer U.S. Representative for New Jersey’s 5th congressional district

Rep. Stephanie Murphy U.S. Representative for Florida’s 7th congressional district

Rep. Kathleen Rice U.S. Representative for New York’s 4th congressional district

Rep. Kurt Schrader U.S. Representative for Oregon’s 5th congressional district

If you’re looking for additional resources, check out our recent breakdown on how these Democratic holdouts are facing steep costs from climate impacts in their home districts—and why the only fiscally responsible choice is bold climate action now.

This has been a long fight, but we’re inches away from passing transformational climate legislation. Thank you for taking action today.
