Maggie Thomas

Maggie Thomas is the political director at Evergreen. During the 2020 Democratic presidential primary, Maggie served as climate policy advisor to Senator Elizabeth Warren and deputy climate director to Governor Jay Inslee, whose campaign climate plans were heralded as the “gold standard” of climate policy for the 2020 presidential primary. In 2015, she graduated from the Yale School of Forestry and Environmental Studies (F&ES) with a masters degree in Environmental Management. During her time at F&ES she studied federal environmental policy, constructing a curriculum that drew from many graduate programs at Yale. After graduating from F&ES, she joined NextGen America, working to increase youth voter turnout on college campuses across the country. She holds a B.S. in Biology and Environmental Science from Trinity College. Maggie is a native Californian. In her free time, she can be found biking or running through the great outdoors.
