In response to the introduction of a 100 percent clean energy standard in Wisconsin, Evergreen Action State Advocacy Director Courtney Brady released the following statement:

“The introduction of a 100 percent clean energy standard is a major step forward for Wisconsin families and the state’s energy future. Clean energy and affordability go hand in hand—solar and storage are the cheapest and fastest ways to add new power to the grid and lower utility bills. Other states in the region have already passed similar policies, and this bill will ensure that Wisconsin doesn’t fall behind. And with a 2050 timeline, utilities will have the certainty they need to plan while accelerating the deployment of low-cost renewable energy across the state. By bringing cost-effective, clean sources to the grid, this policy will help ensure cleaner air and lower energy costs for Wisconsin families.”
