PJM Annual Meeting Begins with Calls for Change

In response to Governor Wes Moore’s speech at PJM’s annual meeting in Baltimore, Evergreen Action Director of Strategic Initiatives for States Julia Kortrey released the following statement:

“Governor Moore is right: we need cheap clean energy to fight rising costs, and we need PJM to implement real reforms so we can get more clean energy online. For years, PJM has failed to fix its interconnection process and allowed its member companies to rake in profits while new projects languish in the queue and prices continue to rise. On just the first day of PJM’s annual meeting, a sitting governor and legislators from across the region showed up to demand change. It’s long past time for PJM to heed their calls.”
