On Friday, the Trump administration targeted Revolution Wind for the third time, arguing in a court filing that the offshore wind farm’s federal approval “warrants reevaluation.” The fully built project off the coast of Rhode Island has been sending power to the New England grid since March. In response, Evergreen Action Executive Director Lena Moffitt released the following statement:
“Trump has tried to kill Revolution Wind twice and lost. Now he’s a sore loser trying to flip the board after the game is over. Pulling the plug on a wind farm that’s already spinning would be one of the most expensive temper tantrums in history, and New England families would pay for it.
“Revolution Wind is up and running, and New England has already produced more wind power this year than in all of 2025. Trump can’t stand it, so he’s willing to break something that works just to keep his oil and gas allies happy. If Trump wants a permitting bill passed, attacking a fully approved, fully built wind farm while Congress is negotiating one doesn’t help.”
