Justin Balik is the state program director for Evergreen. Justin has an extensive background in sustainable transportation policy and advocacy, as well as state and local government. Prior to joining Evergreen, Justin oversaw state and local policy for the Electric School Bus Initiative at World Resources Institute. He also served as deputy chief of staff at the New Jersey Economic Development Authority and director of state and federal affairs for the New York City Department of Transportation. Additionally, Justin served as a leading volunteer on the Biden campaign’s Infrastructure Policy Committee. Justin holds a Master of Public Administration degree from Northeastern University, as well as a BA in American Studies from Brandeis University. Justin currently lives in South Orange, New Jersey with his wife and two children. In his free time, he enjoys swimming, exploring cities, and eating delicious food with friends and family.
