Today, Governor Kathy Hochul defeated Nassau County Executive Bruce Blakeman to secure a second full term in Albany. In response to the Governor’s re-election, Evergreen States Program Vice President Eric Miller released the following statement:
“Tonight, New Yorkers loudly rejected Bruce Blakeman’s pro-data center, dirty fossil fuel, Trump-backed agenda. Empire State voters sent a strong message that New York’s future should be built on clean, cheap energy.
“Congratulations to Governor Hochul on her hard-earned re-election victory. In the face of inaction from Washington to protect President Trump’s fossil fuel billionaire buddies, Governor Hochul has put the climate and affordability crises in her crosshairs. Her recently announced CHARGE Agenda shows New York is building a future powered by cheap, clean energy. Evergreen looks forward to continued work with the governor to lower utility bills for New York families, hold Big Tech accountable for their own energy costs, and get more cheap, clean power on the grid fast.”
