Wisconsin Elects David Crowley to Lower Bills and Make Big Tech Pay Its Own Way

Nov 4, 2026

In response to David Crowley’s victory in Wisconsin’s gubernatorial race, Evergreen Action Midwest Advocate Lauren Reeg released the following statement:

“Wisconsin voters sent a clear mandate: tackle the energy affordability crisis and get the data center boom under control. David Crowley understood the moment and ran on it, with ambitious plans to cut energy costs, make Big Tech pay its own way, and build the clean energy that keeps the lights on and bills down. Today, voters didn’t just choose their next governor. They chose a new direction for Wisconsin, one where affordability comes first and working families aren’t an afterthought.

“No family should have to choose between paying the electric bill and putting food on the table. And the companies driving up demand shouldn’t get to stick everyday customers with the tab. We’re ready to work with Governor-elect Crowley to hold monopoly utilities and Big Tech accountable, starting with making sure data centers pay their fair share in the upcoming legislative session. Wisconsinites asked for relief on their bills. Now it’s time to get to work.”
