Bipartisan Deal Fails On Climate

Evergreen Calls on Members of Congress to Reject 2-Track Strategy if Neither Bill Has Needed Climate Investment

Following the release of early details on the bipartisan infrastructure framework, Evergreen Action Executive Director Jamal Raad released the following statement:

“This bipartisan proposal is not the climate bill, and no one should pretend otherwise. The bipartisan framework comes nowhere near the scale and scope of investments that we need to meet the climate crisis. Climate leaders in Congress should reject this deal unless it’s accompanied by a reconciliation bill with bold climate investments.”
