Today, the Pennsylvania State Senate confirmed Pennsylvania Public Utility Commissioner Kathryn Zerfuss’ reappointment. In response, Evergreen Northeast & Mid-Atlantic Regional Director Catherine Zingg released the following statement:
“At a time when Pennsylvania families are struggling to keep up with the costs of rising energy bills, a fully functioning Public Utility Commission has never been more critical. Commissioner Zerfuss has been a strong advocate for energy affordability during her time on the commission, and we’re pleased to see her continue serving the Commonwealth.
“We applaud Governor Shapiro for reappointing Commissioner Zerfuss. We look forward to continuing to work together to take on utility monopoly greed, diversify Pennsylvania’s energy system, and lower costs with cheap, clean energy.”
