Democrats Must Now Work Together To Pass Reconciliation With Robust Climate Investments
In response to the postponement of tonight’s scheduled vote on the infrastructure bill, Evergreen Action Executive Director Jamal Raad released the following statement:
“Evergreen applauds the climate champions in Congress who stood their ground to fight for President Biden’s agenda, and we look forward to the full Congressional Democratic caucus working together to advance a reconciliation bill that makes the robust investments we need to fight the climate crisis. The Build Back Better agenda makes transformational investments in climate action that will create millions of jobs and give the American people the tools they need to build an equitable and thriving clean energy future.
“Throughout this process, climate champions and progressive leaders have been clear: No climate, no deal. Advancing the infrastructure bill and the reconciliation bill together will enable Democrats to deliver for the American people.”
