Lena Moffitt is executive director for Evergreen. Lena has dedicated her life to advancing climate justice and is a proven advocacy campaigner. She has been with Evergreen since 2020, when she joined to help design, pass and implement the Inflation Reduction Act. She took over as Evergreen’s Executive Director in 2023. Prior to her time at Evergreen, Lena helped spearhead numerous successful national climate advocacy campaigns, including the fight against the Keystone XL pipeline, the movement to secure comprehensive methane pollution standards, and efforts to protect our national monuments. Born and raised in New Mexico, she is a lifelong environmental strategist and advocate, dedicated to tackling the climate crisis and creating a more just and equitable world for us all.
